Social affordances and Technological Intersubjectivity in HCI

چکیده

In this theoretically oriented paper, we present an exposition of the phenomena of technological intersubjectivity that emerges in computer supported social interactional situations under two major themes. The first theme re-conceptualizes social interaction supported by various information and communication technologies (ICT) as appropriation of social affordances. The second theme explicates the notion of technological intersubjectivity. In conclusion, we present a first proposal of higher-level implications for the design of software interfaces that emphasizes not only functional but also empathetic social interactions.
